Fall for Me

Fall for me is the first book in J.C. Emery's new Ladder Company series and I have to say I loved it. The story line was complex and real. Melanie and Jameson had a ton of obstacles in their way including Jameson's girlfriend. This book takes place over a large amount of time (think over a year) and I felt that helped make it seem more real. While the struggle was real I also wanted to scream at the characters when they were being stupid. I found myself becoming emotionally invested in this book. While the characters finally got their HEA, there is a secondary story line that is going to carry into the next book in this series. I give this book 4.5 stars and a must read.

SYNOPSIS:

Melanie Kincaid is a trust-fund baby with a knack for sassy comebacks and unnecessarily complicating her privileged life. So, of course she would have to fall in love with a man she can't have.

Jameson Hayes is a NYC firefighter for Manhattan’s oldest ladder company with big shoes to fill and a city to protect. He’s strong, sexy, and not looking for the complications Melanie brings.
