Julie Ann Walker's Devil and the Deep is the second book in her Deep Six series and she did a fantastic job with this story. Maddy and Bran were both introduced in the previous book and it was hinted at that their story would be next. Well, their story held me captive from the beginning and kept my interest all the way through. One thing I love about Ms. Walker's writing is she has stories about love, but there's an element of suspense that enhances the story. I don't want to give away the story, but I will say that you should definitely read this book. I give it a solid 4.5 stars and am already anticipating the next book from Julie Ann Walker.
